The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.
